2026- It's 8 years of massaging full time and 11 years since gaining my diploma.

Hello friends,

I can't believe that I've had my diploma for 11 years!

I've been running my home business for 8 years already.

Some of you have been seeing me for the entire 8 years I've been working.

I wanted to give you a brief story of the history of Marina's Remedial Massage.

In 2018 I moved back to Australia after an international ballet career.

During my performing years, I studied a Diploma of Remedial Massage part time at the Australian College of Massage (now Evolve College).

On return visits to Australia between ballet contracts overseas, I would complete my exams and clinical practice hours.

I didn't even know I wanted to pursue massage as a career, I actually thought I'd retire from ballet and teach.

Massage was just something really interesting to me.

When 2018 came and I started teaching a little bit in Sydney, I realised I didn't actually love it, but on the side I was also massaging and I realised I really love massaging.

That's how my home practice was born.

Organically.

I did spend 3 months massaging in a local remedial massage studio in Waterloo but I quickly realised that I wanted to work for myself.

Since then you've followed me from Beaconsfield, to Zetland, and now to Rosebery where we have been for almost three years (this August will be three years on Gardeners road).

What a dream it is, to have you enable me to create a dream practice.

I thank you for taking the time to care for yourselves, and involving me in that process.

I hope you get as much out of our sessions as I get out of delivering them to you.

I am genuinely excited every time I see your bookings in the schedule, and whenever you turn up at the door.

I love when we bump into each other in the street, or you text me a question, some feedback, or requesting a gift voucher for a friend.

Thank you, and I hope I can continue to be part of you healing, self care, relaxation, pampering and learning.

I'm not a healer, I am a guide.

I was talking shop this week with another remedial therapist and honestly I was really shocked by what they said. She said; "My philosophy as a practitioner is that I know what is best for my clients"
